This gasket sits under the fuel pump mount and prevents fuel from leaking along the connection. After decades - the rubber becomes porous and hard - making leakage inevitable. VintageDub supplies this replacement (OEM 113 127 311) for T1 - T2 - T3 - Beetle and Karmann Ghia. Combine this with a new fuel pump cover if you're at it anyway.
