Master cylinder of the clutch for the VW T3 Bus 05/1979–07/1992, with OEM number 251 721 401A. The cylinder builds up hydraulic pressure as soon as the clutch pedal is depressed and passes it on to the slave cylinder at the gearbox. Replacement is common in case of leakage or a sinking pedal.
