The front silentblock of your gearbox ensures that engine vibrations are not directly transmitted to the chassis. In older Beetles and Karmann Ghias - these rubbers wear out - and you'll notice a lot more engine noise and vibration becoming palpable throughout the car. This OEM original (111 301 265C) is the right replacement for a quiet and comfortable ride. Combine this with the rear silentblock to completely control vibrations.
