The pitman arm seal ensures that the grease lubricating the joint does not leak from the shaft and that the steering does not become loose. After decades - this rubber ring can harden and the grease is lost - after which play develops. This original VW seal (211 415 273) prevents that problem and is quickly replaced. Combine it with a new pitman arm kit for complete steering maintenance.
