Steering damper for the VW Beetle 1302 and 1303, OEM number 113 425 021J. The damper is mounted between the steering box and the axle and absorbs vibrations and shocks from the front axle before they reach the steering wheel. Replacement is common when steering vibrations are noticeable or the damper leaks oil.
